Adon Exclusive: UT SPECULUM SERIES By MARCELO AUGE
Ecce Homo, an collective exhibition, brings together 12 artists, who were given the task of presenting works in different languages, addressing the masculine identity as a singular construction.
Under the curatorship of Ian Duarte Lucas, 16 works point to the masculine as a theme and present different visions about this territory and its countless possibilities, through collages, drawings, sculptures, photographs and paintings.
The Verve Gallery inaugurates the collective exhibition Ecce Homo this week in São Paulo, with the participation of Alex Flemming, Allis Bezerra, Marcelo Auge and other important names of brazilian art.
The Photographer Marcelo Auge, known mainly for his work with the male universe, prepared the series "ut speculum" (Latin for "mirrored"), with the participation of big names of men's fashion in Brazil. All the photos in the series portray the image of the man before his own reflection in the mirror.
See the original series presented at the exhibition and also the extra material with the theme that should give rise to an art book already next year.
